At St. Jovita and Joviana Community Foundation, we prioritize providing daily nutritious meals to vulnerable children, recognizing that proper nutrition is fundamental to their physical and mental development. Many of the children we serve come from challenging backgrounds where regular, balanced meals are not guaranteed. Through our meals program, we ensure that each child receives essential nutrients needed for growth, focus, and resilience. A consistent diet also supports their ability to engage and perform well in educational activities, helping to lay a foundation for a brighter future
Beyond the provision of food, our meals program fosters a sense of community and security among the children. Mealtimes are structured, offering them a safe space to interact, build friendships, and experience care and stability. By removing one of the major stressors—hunger—from their lives, we can redirect their focus toward personal development, academic goals, and recreational activities. This initiative is a core part of our mission to nurture and protect the wellbeing of Uganda’s future generation.
