St. Jovita and Joviana Community Foundation was established in response to the severe crisis affecting many displaced individuals in the slum areas and wetlands of Uganda, particularly in the Kampala metropolitan region, including Wakiso, Mukono, and Kampala. Founded by four individuals who pooled their limited resources, the foundation aims to support vulnerable children through education, health, and overall wellbeing while also providing comfort to their parents. Recognizing the growing needs of orphans, street children, and marginalized community members, the foundation expanded its focus to include those lacking guidance and education.
